June 24th : investigation at Karnak
On the Western Front Germans repulsed in an attack on the heights of the Meuse. Political British memorandum on neutral commerce handed to U.S. Ambassador. Mr. Asquith announces forthcoming bill on the registration and organisation of national resources.
Party spend some time in and around Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.

Held a party for locals (in temple at Karnak, open to the stars).
Using her insights from Quetzalcoatl, George helps to explain the significance of the ancient rituals and how they worked.
Decided not to stick around for the Egyptian ceremony of bi-annual Evening star (gate opens at this time) as this would be bad news with Quetzalcoatl (also a bad time to be in the south Sudan as at this time the black druids have vastly increased powers).
Visited the valley of the Kings with Tewfik and John Heatherington. Discussed theories of the astronomical nature of the Egyptian tombs. In tomb of Tutmosis III there is a star map on the roof of the tomb. Star map showed gates and links between them. Worked out that the gate opens more than twice per year but also has very brief openings to many other gates.
Went to visit some tonbs slightly outside of the main set where there were images of the Mask of Typhon / Set with an unidentifiable animal head (vaguely like desert fox with elongated snout). Matched Typhonian beast to a particular star and date it opened.
George takes picture of the map.
Harry enquired about the Arabic names for the stars - some clues in the names of the stars and the mythology of the stars.
